I received this product in excellent condition and before the expected date it would arrive at my house. I am very pleased with the service and quickness this company has provided me.

  2. Decided to pick this up to assist in training. For how much this cost, it is an excellent product: it is heavy duty, yet flexible enough not to really harm someone (unless you stupidly gouge them in the eyes!); has excellent detail in the checkering on the grip; it is life size so it’s realistic; anyone wanting a training knife or a knife for a Halloween costume prop should pick one of these up.

  3. Most criminals who try to attack someone will be armed and a knife is a very common item. This item is patterned exactly after it’s non-rubber counterpart. I like it because it can be used for traditional martial arts training or modern self defense training. A very valuable aid, at a reasonable price. A++++

Great. It is very sturdy, which makes it a bit poky at times, but it is supposed to represent a knife, so you shouldn’t expect a soft, pillow-like feeling anyway. If you like knives or martial arts, I would definitely recommend this item to you because it fits well in the hand(mine at least) and it doesn’t feel too fake-meaning it has realistic balance, etc.

Well, the only con to this item is that it is much lighter than the knife it’s modeled after. If you want a weight that better simulates combat with the realworld version of this knife, you’re out of luck.

That said, it seems to be an excellent, cheap, yet sturdy replica of a Recon Tanto by Cold Steel. If you’re using it for shoot/don’t shoot training or other realistic scenarios, it’s pretty nice. Probably be pretty okay for costumes or some other recreational uses like that as well.
