The knife is plenty sharp and wonderfully shaped, and the fit and finish are excellent.
The spring-assisted opening creates a bit of a safety hazard. So you need to carry it with the safety on — which eliminates the convenience of the easy opening. The rival brand, the Spyderco Delica, doesn’t have this issue because it’s not spring-assisted but still easy to open.
The handle is a little small and its lovely finish is rather slippery.

Shipped quickly! this is the most beautiful knife I have ever purchased and it is the most functionally sound one as well. Thank you Ken Onion for designing such a wonderful knife!

I have carried a lot of knives in my lifetime. I worked hvac for several years, which required work done in cramped places (under houses and attics). I carried several different kinds of knives during this time, eventually resulting in using one-hand opening knives for convenience. I usually used cheap knives that I would replace since I used them for applications they were not designed to be used for and would simply replace them when necessary. I found this Ken Onion Kershaw knife and it instantly became my favorite. They blade holds an edge well/is not soft. The size is a perfect compromise for most circumstances. The one-hand operation is utilized by depressing the back side of the handle with your index finger. The blade does not loosen over time like cheaper knives (I have had mine for over 5 years and carry it every day). My only complaint is the blade lock which is a little slider that goes over the blade when closed. They could have put more time in designing that feature. Everyone that I’ve shown this knife to really likes it and usually buys one for his/her self.
