I bought this because I like to keep a utility knife that I don’t mind beating up in my pocket, and this was around $13 at the time so it was perfect. I’ve had a few other S&W knives and have been satisfied with them so since the price was right, I bought this one. It’s not a bad knife my only issue is the blade is slightly misaligned and when I open or close it there is a spot on the blade that scrapes against the frame. It doesn’t really affect the performance of the knife but I can see that the powder coating is wearing off on that spot already. It doesn’t bother me enough to pay the shipping cost to take advantage of the lifetime warranty and it definitely won’t deter me from buying other S&W knives, but I can only give it three stars because of that.

This is a very solid constructed folding knife. The handle is all metal but have enough holes in them to feel very balanced in your hands. The thumb ridges on the spine of the knife functions well. The liner lock is very thick and very secure; though, opening with thumb alone does not always lock the blade in place but with a little flick, it would solve that problem. A very well made knife.

This is an excellent lockback for the price. A little on the heavy side, especially since it has a number of ‘air holes’ punched in the handle. If you want a conceal knife, this is a good one. It is a mat black with no reflective qualities …unless you oil it a little too much. I like to flick mine open with the thumb about halfway then snap my wrist to flick the blade into lock position. This one does that smartly and solidly. Very sturdy, easily sharpened. With the stainless steel black coated blade and handle.
